Fadi Deeb was born in 1985 in Haifa into a musical family, and grew up in Nazareth. He is part of a promising young generation of Middle Eastern musicians.
He has appeared in concerts in the Middle East, Europe, Canada, China and the USA, performing in halls such as the Concertgebouw and the Xi’an Concert Hall.
Deeb made his concert debut in the USA with Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra.
His numerous scholarships include the Israeli-American Foundation Prize, the Qattan Foundation Scholarship, the Jerusalem Music Academy Presidential Prize, a Fulbright Grant and the Stony Brook SPTF Scholarship for Outstanding Pianist.
Deeb won first prizes at the Ackermann Chamber Music Competition, the Palest’In and Out Competition and the Stony Brook Concerto Competition.
He was awarded a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Stony Brook University under the renowned pianist Gilbert Kalish, after obtaining his Master’s degree in 2009 at the Jerusalem Academy of Music under Eitan Globerson.
Deeb teaches at Birzeit University, at the Edward Said National Conservatory in Ramallah, West Jordan, as well as the Beit El Musika (House of Music) in Shefa-’Amr (Shfar’am), Israel. Together with the violinist ShanRong Tuo, he founded the duo Deeb-Tuo.
